Monitor Prosecutor

Monitor Prosecutor is the latest integrated component of the Monitor case management system. The initial release of Monitor Prosecutor is focused on criminal cases with future releases scheduled to add non-criminal functionality.

Master Name Index

Monitor employs a Universal Entity System (UES) that maintains a single record for each person or entity (e.g. retail store). Each person may have multiple roles relating to multiple police reports or cases. With the UES a user can search for a person via multiple criteria and see his/her roles (e.g. defendant, victim, witness) as well as relationships to other persons (parent, sister, neighbor, etc.).

Case Management

Monitor tracks the life cycle of a case from a law enforcement referral (e.g. police report) to filing determination, prosecution, adjudication, sentencing, and appeal. Detailed information at each stage of the process is maintained including charges, bail settings, special circumstances, and court orders. Monitor supports the creation of different case types giving agencies the freedom to organize their departments as they see fit.

Team Access

Each agency can configure Monitor to support multiple offices and teams. Multiple staff members (e.g. investigator, lead prosecutor, appellate attorney) working together as a team or at different stages of a case life cycle can be assigned to a case and their access to information will be based on their security role.

Calendaring

Monitor includes a calendaring function that will track each attorney’s schedule as well as court hearings and appointments by a multiple criteria. Calendars, for example, can be tracked by courtroom, type of hearing, and judge.

Document Management

The Monitor Document Management System (DMS) is included with Monitor Prosecutor. MS Word template forms can be generated and stored in the DMS and externally generated documents (police reports, witness statements, etc.) can be either scanned or directly imported into the DMS.
