Monitor.Net 2.1 Enterprise Edition is the leading client case management suite of integrated products available for criminal justice and human services agencies. A true browser-based application, Monitor provides comprehensive case management functionality, is configurable to meet local needs, can interface with other data systems, and is by far the easiest to use system on the market.

The Monitor client case management suite is built as an integrated system with a shared database. Clients may purchase licenses to any one, combination, or all components and be assured that each system will possess the same look and feel and seamlessly share data subject to a user’s security permissions.

Enterprise Class System

Monitor delivers the operational, administrative, and reporting requirements of multi-tiered jurisdictions with complex functional needs and supports the business requirements of diverse agencies (e.g. probation, pretrial, prosecutor, sheriff) in an integrated framework. As an enterprise class application, it is fully capable of supporting the needs of a country, state, or large jurisdiction with numerous layers or a complicated organizational scheme with a definable reporting hierarchy.

Domain Specific Functionality

The Monitor application is an integrated collection of domain specific modules and subsystems. Our goal for each Monitor component (Monitor Probation, Monitor Pretrial Services, Monitor Institutions, etc.) is to provide Best of Breed functionality to meet the specific business needs of that subject area. Our Pretrial system, for example, is not a relabeled Probation system, but is designed to meet the business practices of Pretrial agencies, which can be very different from Probation departments. All of our systems are designed from the ground up by subject matter experts to meet the specific needs of the targeted agency and are part of an integrated framework that provides (subject to security permissions) shared real time access to information by all Monitor system users.

Configurable Design

Monitor is designed to meet nationally recognized best practices and standards but we realize that policies and procedures vary among jurisdictions. Details are important, and the business needs of an agency in one county are often different from those of another county, and certainly from those in other states.

Monitor is a sophisticated configurable Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) system that offers the benefits of COTS software (reliability, lower costs, and decreased risk) as well as the principle advantage of a custom development system (a better fit meeting the specific business needs of a client). With Monitor, different types of criminal justice and human service agencies can use the exact same application in different jurisdictions subject to different business requirements. Configuration options include screens, forms, reports, business rules, system parameters, lookup table values, field properties, security permissions, agency organization, caseload categorizations, case types, assessments, and case plans.

Monitor is a scalable solution that can support the operations of agencies ranging in size from a single drug court to an entire state Department of Corrections. The result for our clients is a no-compromise, affordable, and quickly deployable system.

Shared Functionality

Although the Monitor suite is composed of specific systems (Monitor Probation, Monitor Prosecutor, etc.), because of our configurable design certain functions such as the Finance and Document Management System can be included with any system. The specific modules and functions that exist in a particular system can often be applied to a different system depending on an agency’s needs.

Finance System

Monitor includes a Financial System providing a full featured accounts receivable sub-ledger capability. The key benefit is its seamless integration with the day-to-day operations of your department. Compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), it was built from the ground up to support Monitor and meets the financial accounting needs of criminal justice and human services agencies.

Document Management System

Monitor also includes a Document Management System (DMS) that allows the generation of template reports using MS Word. In addition, any type of existing document can be uploaded and saved and/or scanned in the DMS. Documents and various forms created in Monitor, (receipts, memos, letters, assessments, etc.) can be set to automatically post to the DMS after being printed.

Monitor is a true browser-based application or “web-app”, developed with Microsoft’s .NET Framework component incorporating the latest ASP.NET technologies. Monitor was built with the Microsoft Visual Studio toolset employing C#.NET, ASP.NET AJAX, VBScript, and JavaScript language components. Monitor has been tested and is certified by Microsoft.
